Cal Voicemail is the new campus voice mail system (see the IST iNews article "Getting ready for Cal Voicemail".) The new voice mail site address is calvm.berkeley.edu
The UniBears website will be available until November 2 in order to provide help in accessing your UniBears voicemail messages. To access your old voicemail messages (those left prior to September 26) you can dial 642-1869.
UniBears, a unified communications system, operated by Information Services and Technology provides telephone voicemail, virtual fax and unified messaging services to the University of California, Berkeley, campus.

IST offers classroom training on how to use UniBears services. You can find answers to many of your questions about how to use the new UniBears system in our on-line help pages and quick-view diagrams. We also have answers to many frequently asked questions . You can also ask for help and report trouble.
At the telephone dial-tone:
Dial *82 3-5530 to set up your UniBears mailbox for the first time from your campus telephone using the default passcode provided separately by IST. If you hear a busy signal when you dial *82, dial 3-5530 without the *82. (If you have not yet set up your UniBears mailbox, please contact the Voice Repair at 642-8500 (1,1) for your set-up passcode.)
Dial 3-5530 to access the UniBears telephone user interface.
Dial 79 or press the message waiting button when message waiting indicator (lamp, triangle or stutter dial-tone) is on to access UniBears voicemail.
Dial 2-8500 (1,3) to contact Telecom Customer Care.

UniBears Web Access may be used to control some features of UniBears. Voicemail Enhanced subcribers can access voicemail messages via the web. To use the web access interface to UniBears, your CalNet ID must be linked to the UniBears mailbox. For more information about web access see the UniBears - Web Access FAQ.
CalMail may be used to access messages stored in CalMail by Unified Messaging subscribers.
